We saw Verizon announce their first 4G LTE powered laptop back at the end of July and as of today they have announced their first 4G LTE powered netbook, the Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr. The netbook was previously announced at CES 2011 earlier this year and has finally made its way to release. With the 4G LTE network customer can expect to see download speeds in the 5-12Mbps range and uploads in 2 to 5Mbps range.

The Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr netbook comes with a 10.1-inch anti-glare screen with 1024 x 600 resolution and it uses the Intel Atom N455 CPU at 1.66GHz. The machine packs in a 250GB HDD, has 1GB of DDR3 RAM and webcam for video chatting.

The Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr is set to ship on Thursday, August 4th at $449.99 with a 2-year contract agreement. Plans range from $30 per month for 2GB of data to $80 per month for 10GB.
