Toshiba upgrades 10.1-inch netbooks to DDR3 RAM

Toshiba has introduced a lower price model called the Toshiba Mini NB255, just priced at $299. This NB255 features an Atom N455 processor and DDR3 memory.

Toshiba Mini NB255 specs:

• 1.6-GHz Intel Atom N455 Processor
• 1GB of DDR3 RAM
• 250 GB hard drive
• 10.1-inch 1024×600 display
• 6-cell battery up to 8 hour of battery life

Toshiba also has upgraded the Mini NB305, which has a new 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM and will sell for $379.

Toshiba Mini NB305 specs:

• 1.6-GHz Intel Atom N455 Processor
• 1GB of DDR3 RAM
• 250 GB hard drive
• 10.1-inch 1024×600 display
• 802.11b/g/n WiFi
• 6-cell battery

The main difference between the Mini 205 and Mini 305 is that the plastic is less expensive and the keyboard is a slightly different design.

Both netbooks will be available starting June 20th.
