So, the ARM is already capable of launching laptop products that are able to run for a long battery life, and if the price is attractive, there is a great chance for the products to create a brand new market.

A number of laptop manufacturers including Samsung, Toshiba, Acer and Asus are planing to develop ARM architecture laptop for mainstream laptop market. The ARM-based laptops could hit the market by the end of 2011. And with expected prices of less than US$299, these machines would be affordable.

Asus has rumored that the company has already made plans to launch a 13-inch ARM-based laptop sometime later this year. The laptop will be using “Nvidia’s Kal-El processor” and with Google Android operating system.
