Acer Aspire TimelineX AS1830T-6651 is a very solid little laptop with a lot packed in. It is also small enough to carry on a trip, but large enough to be a computer that you want to use even. The i5 processor for good battery life and good performance. The touchpad is not the best quality, it has a bit non-responsive to my scrolling but a wireless mouse solved that problem.
