MacBook Air-like: Acer Aspire 3951 ultrabook

Acer is planning on bring out a new ultrabook which looks like a MacBook Air but comes with a price tag of just under $1,000. The Acer Aspire 3951 laptop will sport a 13.3-inch screen, an aluminum chassis, measure just 0.51-inches thick and an overall weight of less than 3.09 pounds.

Under the hood, the Acer Aspire 3951 ultrabook will feature Intel Sandy Bridge generation Core processor, 250 GB or 500 GB of HDD, optional 160 GB of SSD storage, a memory card reader, HDMI output, USB ports, Bluetooth 4.0, an HD webcam and more. Users can expect 6 hours or more of battery life.

The device can purportedly boot up pretty fast, as well, rousing from sleep mode in just 1.7 seconds and even have a standby time of 30 days.

According to Vietnamese website Sohoa, the Aspire 3951 will price at 16-20 million VND, or ~$750-950, but the source isn’t clear.
