Acer prepares to launch the first netbook is powered by a dual-core Atom N550 processor. The machine called Aspire One D255 and it is practically based on the Aspire One D260 that introduced last month.

The Aspire One D255 features 1.5GHz Atom N550 dual-core processor with support hyperthreading technology, which means that Windows will report you have 4 processors. The Aspire One D255 also has a 10.1-inch (1024×600) CrystalBrite LED-backlit display, 1GB DDR2 RAM, Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, up to a 250GB hard drive, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a 93% standard-size keyboard and a 6-cell battery.
Unfortunately, release date or pricing details have not been announced.
