Acer announces TravelMate Timeline 8481T business laptop

Acer has announced the new TravelMate Timeline 8481T for ultimate road warriors and savvy business professionals seeking a combination of style, mobility and professional-grade security and manageability. The TravelMate Timeline 8481T is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and weighing in at 3.7 pounds with a super slim 0.87-inch profile. The laptop boasts a 14-inch, 1366 x 768 LCD that’s been engineered to fit within a 13-inch form factor and features a new metal-alloy hinge design for maximum hold strength when the cover is open, and Autolock to ensure the notebook lid is tightly secured for LCD protection.

The Acer TravelMate Timeline 8481T laptops are available in the U.S. and Canada in early September for $999.99.
